Carolina Marquez
ES Assistant Teacher
My name is Carolina Marquez; I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. I’m the youngest of 3 siblings, have 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and the cutest dog ever, Coda. My absolute favorite hobbies include: traveling, dancing, going to the movies, and eating out! Throughout my school life, I’ve attended two American schools in this city, finally graduating as a proud Jaguar, in the Class of 2006. Right after that, I studied Ingenieria en Administracion Petrolera for the next 5-6 years at Universidad Tecnologica Privada de Santa Cruz (UTEPSA). While in university, I had the opportunity of working as a teaching assistant at Saint George School, which opened a door for me in the area of education. From that moment on, I decided to continue to work there from February 2006 to August 2009, until I rejoined the SCCS family which I am happy and grateful to be a part of. It's been 11 years now that I’ve embarked on this journey as a Classroom Assistant Teacher in Elementary and I’ve truly felt that this community has become my second family. Since joining the SCCS staff, I’ve also become a private tutor for elementary and middle school students. I believe that every school year presents a new opportunity for me to step up my game to continue learning, observing and implementing new teaching methodologies. I always strive to deliver the best so I can be more effective to my students; after all, each of them is a world ready to be discovered with knowledge and understood with kindness and patience. Once a Jaguar, ALWAYS a Jaguar!
