The SCCS
Library stands
as the third element in the learning triad, right between classroom and home providing our PK-12 learners access and opportunities to resources and technology. The library is equipped with a 25,000-volume collection which includes fiction and non-fiction books/ebooks, printed and digital materials, online services for periodicals and books.

SCCS LIBRARY MISSION STATEMENT
The SCCS school library provides access
to an array of well managed resources enabling knowledge to be connected to deeper, personalized learning. Being our goal to collaborate and offer an approachable, equitable, personalized learning environment fundamental for any learner’s holistic education. It promotes and organizes literacy projects and events that inspire learners to become lifelong learners and readers.
1. Hours
The SCCS Library is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 to 4:00 Fridays from 7:30 to 3:30.
Elementary students schedule class visits to the library on a weekly basis. During this time, a lesson is offered, they are guided while selecting books to checkout and enjoy reading in our cozy spaces before they go back to class.
Secondary students visit the library prior teacher/librarian scheduling for class visits. They may visit the library on their own during their lunch/recess breaks.
Parents are invited to visit the library with their children for book selection, quiet reading or homework every afternoon from 2:30 to 3:45.
2. Library Expectation
Library visitors must:
- Speak English at all times
- Use quiet voices
- Be respectful and careful with materials and devices.
- Not eat/drink in the library
- Not have Cellphones on
