HS Band Blurb

High school band is a time for instrument advancement, further music discovery and learning, musical communication and enjoyment of the performance of music! In high school band we learn more of the techniques of music performance including musicality, balance and blend, further individual instrument techniques, and music theory. High school band students are split into two ensembles: Wind Ensemble (auditioned ensemble) and Concert Band. They perform four times a year in October, December, March and May!

HS Athletics

The SCCS Athletics Department objective is to support the physical education curriculum, which is mainly focused on increasing the fitness level of all students and teach them the necessary skills to acquire and maintain a healthy lifestyle. A further purpose is to provide an opportunity for every student to take part in competitive and non-competitive sports and activities within the framework of educational endeavor.

During the school year the SCCS Athletics Department organizes and offers a variety of programs and sports events for High school. Programs offered are Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Track & Field and Cheerleading. Sports events include the USSL League, Friendship Games, Fun Run, and the Jaguar Cup.

HS Art

High School Art is a subject in which one can indulge in the rich experience of using different materials to express oneself, as well as refine their spatial and object recognition skills. This is the moment where students learn about the connection between art and world events by exploring the various art movements registered through human history. For more passionate students, we offer the AP Art and Design class where students will dive in deep in the process of creating a college admission portfolio. The art department helps fuel the creativity and drive of students by the hosting of numerous art contests, as well as appreciating student talent each year through the printing of the yearly school calendar.
